How can I project my screen to the class?

If your classroom has a SMART board with iQ:

  1.  On your board press Screen Share
  2. On your computer, click the clock displayed in the bottom right corner
  3. Click Cast
  4. Select the option which matches the code displayed on the board (eg SMART Mirror-000000)

If your classroom has an older SMART board with projector:

  • Sign in to the desktop computer provided using a staff account, or connect a laptop via the HDMI cable provided
  • By default, this will open in 'Extended mode' where you can drag a window off the right of your computer screen to display it on the projector. This can be handy if you wish to do lesson planning or marking on your computer while the class is working off the board
  • To make both screens display the same image (Mirror mode), press Ctrl+Maximise (top row 5th button)

If your classroom has a Smart TV:

  1. Sign in to a laptop or computer using a staff account
  2. Click the clock displayed in the bottom right corner
  3. Click Cast
  4. Select the TV you wish to cast to (eg Kitchen TV)
